This store is our gift to all of those who live their ordinary lives with a sense of adventure. Maybe you explore on the weekends or make huge life changes just to try something new. May the items in our store enrich and encourage your adventure filled soul.

Who is BasecampVagabond?

Meet Pat and Mandy. We met working at camp. We backpacked and adventured in our early relationship years. Canoe camped when pregnant. Backpacked with the first kiddo...and the second kiddo. Carrying 3 kids under the age of 4 was tough so we went back to canoe camping. As the kids got older, we road tripped, backpacked, car camped, climbed. Professionally, we were never able to quit working to go full time adventuring. So we developed our family lifestyle of what Mandy calls basecampvagabond.

BaseCamp: we have a house...still somewhat temporary, as we rent. But every where we live, Mandy makes it home. It's helpful to find flexible landlords and places where everything we do to a structure is adding value. Currently, we live in a doug fir and oak valley in a valley in a valley in Oregon. Our home just happens to be at a summer camp. Pat is the facilities director (read: on call 24/7!). Yep, we have a lake in our 93 acre backyard. Crazy good fun happens at camp.  Many of the people we know and love call us exclusively by our camp names.

Vagabond: We go places...maybe not for long periods of time, maybe not all of us together. But wandering is good for the soul. We've got a variety of vehicles, and ways to travel, places to go, and reasons to adventure. It may not look like full time van life, but it fits the season that we are in. Currently Mandy is in training to become a commercial pilot, to expand our adventuring horizons.
