Aviatrix Cornelia Fort Show Them quote sticker
When the disbelievers get in your way...Show them! Girl, you can do hard things...and flight training can hard.
When the going gets tough, remember Cornelia Fort! She left a life of wealth to serve her country as a flight instructor at Pearl Harbor in 1941. She was instructing in the air on the morning of December 7, 1941, when she and her student were shot at by incoming Japanese aircraft. She reacted quickly, saving the life of herself and her student. Later with 1100 hours, she was among the first to serve in the WAFS and one of the 38 WASP that died while carrying out their duties. She was happiest in the skies and continually had to prove to the disbelievers that women belonged in the flight deck.
Made of waterproof vinyl, this hexagonal sticker fits perfectly with our other Aviation Heroine stickers.
